The client required a custom OpenStack control panel that would allow users to purchase and manage hosting plans based on actual resource usage, rather than fixed upfront billing. The primary goal was to enable users to complete the entire VPS provisioning and order workflow—from selection to deployment—within five minutes.
An additional requirement was seamless integration with WHMCS to automate invoicing, pricing calculations, account management, and subscription lifecycle operations, ensuring a fully self-service cloud experience.

Invoices are dynamically calculated based on real-time usage data collected through OpenStack Ceilometer and cost data retrieved from WHMCS APIs. The system supports automated invoice generation, usage-based billing, and account suspension in case of payment defaults.
Carmatec’s PHP development team engineered a fully customized OpenStack management platform by integrating directly with OpenStack APIs. User provisioning and billing data were synchronized with WHMCS using secure API connections.
Key OpenStack components—including Nova (compute), Glance (images), and Availability Zones—were integrated to expose configurable hosting options to users.
